The Senior accountant's main mission will be to assist the Group or Country Finance Controller with the financial and accounting operations of the company.

-Maintain the general or analytical accounting in its various journals

-Ensure the compliance of the accounting documents with SYSCOHADA

-Ensure that accounting operations are consistent with accounting principles

-Carry out account analyses on a regular basis and follow up on the payment deadlines of the declarations

-Follow the accounting of supplier operations (flow from the receipt of the invoice to the payment proposal) and accounting of customer operations ( flow from the collection to the account lettering)

-Produce the financial and accounting information required by other departments, auditors and statutory auditors

-Establish bank reconciliations and monitor petty cash

-Participate in year-end closing operations and inventory counts (monthly and annual)

-Draw up a monthly balance of the company's accounts.

-Follow up with customers who have not paid their invoices. He/she will have a collection role and could be assisted by other departments, SALES in particular




-Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years experience or Master's degree in accounting, financial management 

-Proficiency in MS OFFICE software accounting and tax processing software. An expert level in EXCEL will be an asset

-Good knowledge of legal (labor and corporate law, public procurement code), tax and accounting standards of SYSCOHADA.

-Excellent knowledge of the company and its strategy;

-Have a good command of accounting and financial reporting

 -Ideally, experience acquired in a start-up type environment, demanding and in strong development, recognized for its innovative methods.

-Excellent interpersonal skills (active listening, empathy, adaptability, stress management and teamwork)

-Autonomy and ability to communicate in writing and orally to gather necessary information and advice,

-Ability to synthesize information in order to provide the manager with useful information

-Ability to analyze, synthesize and discern
